Marble care

TALKA Calacatta marble is a noble material that can be used both for designer furniture and as a floor and surface covering. Here is everything you need to know about Calacatta marble.

Taking care of a high-end natural stone

The elegance of marble makes it a popular choice for high-end renovation and construction projects. At TALKA, we offer Calacatta marble, red Rosso Levanto marble and black Picasso marble. To maintain its luxurious appearance and avoid damage, it is important to know how to care for this material properly. Note that each TALKA marble table is treated with a specific food-safe sealant (our tables are regularly chosen for restaurant interiors). The TALKA countertop basin is also perfectly suited to everyday use. Natural stone is cared for in the same way as other natural materials such as solid wood!

How to care for Calacatta, Rosso Levanto and Picasso marble?

  1. Clean the marble regularly with a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid abrasive products that can scratch the surface of the marble. You can use a special marble cleaner or simply warm water with a little mild soap.
  2. Avoid leaving stains on the marble. If you spill a liquid on the surface, wipe it up immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Stains can be more difficult to remove once they have penetrated the surface of the marble.
  3. Each table comes with felt pads to protect your floors.
  4. Avoid exposing TALKA marble to harsh chemicals such as acids, solvents and abrasive cleaners. These products can damage the surface of the marble and alter its appearance.
